Gift and Craft Retailers Find Unique Way to Combat E-Commerce in 2015
2015 has been another interesting year in the gift/craft wholesale market, seeing E-Commerce continue to grow in popularity. Despite the amount of customers utilizing the Internet to do their shopping continuing to increase, brick and mortar stores are continuing to succeed. This can in part be attributed to one-of-a-kind pieces that can’t be sold effectively online.
I am fortunate enough to share an office with Lancaster County’s Wholesale Mall, and was able to gain some insight into this trend. Their manager Craig Sheaffer notes, “many manufacturers who feature one-of-a-kind items are doing extremely well this year. These products can’t be sold online wholesale, so they work perfect for shops of all sizes looking for products to set them apart from their online competition.” After looking through the mall, I noticed that many of these products are old pieces of furniture that have been refinished, or pieces that are put together with repurposed items.
So, if you are looking for a way to differentiate your brick and mortar store, head to Lancaster, Pennsylvania and visit Lancaster County’s Wholesale Mall. You can view their information by viewing their AAW profile page, or by visiting their website at the links below.
